What it's about: Inversum is an app and desktop application designed to make it easier for young people to independently invest their wealth, with or without prior knowledge.
Through a survey, interviews, and online research, we discovered that many young people in their early and mid-20s would like to learn more about finances and invest their money. However, they are unsure of how and where to begin. Existing brokers in the market are typically not beginner-friendly and present too much complex information at once. This is where Inversum comes into play, a platform that meets users at their individual knowledge level and guides them in a learning area on how to invest their money in stocks, funds, and ETFs for the long term.
The learning area combines theoretical knowledge transfer with practical, real-life application. In several chapters, users learn about securities through lessons (learning videos with summaries). Following each lesson, there is a quiz that the user must successfully complete to proceed to the next lesson.
At the end of each chapter, there is a guide that provides step-by-step instructions to users on how to apply the acquired knowledge on the platform, for example how to acquire a new investment.
If the user has found a suitable stock in which they want to invest, they can simply follow the learned steps from the instructions. In case of any uncertainties during the purchase process, the mascot Astro can be displayed, providing explanations on what the user should pay attention to.
Additionally, any specialized terms that appear in the program can be looked up in the internal glossary. When the user hovers the mouse over such a term, a brief explanation is displayed. The user also has the option to jump to a detailed explanation in the glossary.
User-friendliness: The application is designed to be simpler than traditional brokers. Special features that are not relevant to beginners and casual investors are not enabled by default and need to be activated in the settings if users want them to be visible in the program.
